Gold status visa card services

With effect from 31 March 2008, all old style Fairbairn Private Bank Visa cards (gold in colour) are now replaced by the gold status Visa card (black and silver in colour).

The gold status Visa card provides added value and extra peace of mind, and includes the following benefits and services…..

For that extra peace of mind….

- Enhanced fraud protection – the card enables quicker detection of any potential fraud transactions.

- Protection of Verified by Visa – the Verified by Visa service will be available on your card for additional security when shopping online from 13 October 2008. After this date, you will be prompted to sign up for this service, when you make your first online purchase from an approved Visa retail agent. Once signed up, you will be asked to enter your security password for any subsequent online purchases.

- Continued Chip and Pin advantages – your card will benefit from Chip and Pin services, to include improved security, faster transaction times and protection against fraud.

- If you want to change your PIN, you can do it at any UK, and most European, Visa cash machines which have a PIN management facility. If you have not received your new PIN, please contact us on +44 (0) 1624 645111.

Improved services especially for YOU….

- Flexibility on your card parameters – this allows temporary alterations to the transaction limit on your card. In anticipation of any large transactions you will simply need to inform the bank in advance.

- Faster response times – your card is supported by the very latest in card technology and enables your queries to be answered faster than ever before.

- Coming soon, an SMS text alert service – details of large Visa transactions can be sent to your mobile phone via SMS text messaging for you to review. You must supply us with your mobile telephone number to receive this service.

- Despite all of the above features of your Visa card, if you currently pay an annual card fee it will not be increased. If you hold a joint Visa card, the annual fee will be split accordingly and applied to your account as usual, ie, you will not have to pay the fee twice.
