Nearly eight thousand pounds raised for charity
The staff of Fairbairn Private Bank, working in the bank's Isle
of Man and Jersey offices, have been busy raising money for four
good causes. Through a wide range of fund raising schemes,
including a monthly staff draw, sports sponsorships, themed social
events, book sales, cake sales and dress down days, an impressive
total of £7,600 has been raised over the course of a year. The
money has been split equally between four staff-nominated
charities: Hospice Isle of Man, Isle of Man Anti-Cancer
Association, Jersey Friends of the Anthony Nolan Trust and
BallaAfrica.
Whilst the former three charities do an outstanding job in
supporting the local communities on the Isle of Man and Jersey, the
latter charity provides assistance further afield and is supporting
aids orphans and other people in poverty stricken areas of South
Africa.
Andrew Halsall and Rebecca Laforey, from Fairbairn Private Bank,
presented the three Isle of Man based charities with the cheques on
behalf of all the staff. Hayley Pallot and Stephanie Coyle,
from the Jersey office of Fairbairn Private Bank, presented the
cheque to Jersey Friends of the Anthony Nolan Trust.
