DOUBLE FIGURES AT FAIRBAIRN PRIVATE
BANK
The South African team at Fairbairn Private
Bank has recently doubled in size, with the appointment of three
new individuals in its offices in Johannesburg and Cape Town.
Shaun Burrow will assume the position of
private banker and will join colleague Guy Veysey in Cape Town,
within the BOE offices. Shaun is making a move back home to South
Africa from London. He has come from a financial advice and private
banking background, and has specialist knowledge in providing
advice to clients affected by the European Savings Directive.
Joining the Johannesburg team are Michael
Tonkin, as personal banker, and Shahista Singh, as private banking
assistant. Michael brings four years of banking experience with
him, starting on an internship with Rand Merchant Bank, then moving
into various private banking roles. Shahista joins the team with a
strong education in financial and corporate management, with
considerable experience in new business.
Commenting on the appointments, David Stearn,
head of private banking, said, “I am delighted to welcome Shaun,
Michael and Shahista to the company. Their arrival opens up new
opportunities for the South African team and I, along with the rest
of the bank’s staff, look forward to working with them in the
future.”
