ANOTHER FIRST FOR FAIRBAIRN PRIVATE
BANK
Fairbairn Private Bank has been voted one of
the best small companies to work for, according to this year’s
Sunday Times 100 Best Small Companies to Work For, published this
month.
With offices in the Isle of Man and Jersey,
Fairbairn Private Bank is the first offshore financial services
business to be recognised within this highly prestigious
listing.
Now in its fifth year, The Sunday Times survey
aims to identify the best employers in Great Britain, and is based
almost exclusively on employee opinion. Entering the listing at
number 85, the judges highlighted the fact that the bank was
certainly good at balancing the books between home and work, with
76% of staff saying they were happy with their work-life balance -
a top 12 ranking in this section.
Greg Horton, Fairbairn Private Bank’s Managing
Director, commented: “We are always delighted to be recognised for
our achievements, but what makes this award particularly satisfying
is that it is predominantly influenced by what our staff say about
the business. We genuinely believe that our greatest asset is
our people and it is particularly heart-warming to receive such
amazing feedback from our employees.”
This latest accolade follows a long string of
firsts for the bank. It was the first British offshore island based
bank to launch a unique fully integrated banking and investment
service, “Focus”, it was the first British offshore island based
bank to hold an independent “A” credit rating from Moody’s, the
international credit rating agency, and it has also been voted
‘Best Offshore Bank’ for an unprecedented three years running in
the International Investment Offshore Fund and Product Awards.
Fairbairn Private Bank operates a
comprehensive private and personal banking operation on behalf of a
wide range of clients. These include private individuals, small and
large companies, trusts, governments and institutional investors. A
full range of banking, investment, trust and corporate services can
be accessed through its offices in the Isle of Man, Jersey and its
representative office in South Africa.
