One of only four banks shortlisted for Best Private Bank

22 March 2010

FAIRBAIRN PRIVATE BANK SHORTLISTED FOR UK WEALTH MANAGEMENT AWARD

The readers of the Financial Times and Investors Chronicle have shortlisted Fairbairn Private Bank for Best Private Bank in their Wealth Management Awards 2010. The winners of these national awards will be announced at a black-tie ceremony on April 29 at The Park Lane Hotel in London.

The readers of the Financial Times and Investors Chronicle were invited to complete a detailed questionnaire about their wealth managers and this resulted in the awards shortlist. Assessments were based on a range of criteria, including financial performance, fees, the range of investment options and tax solutions, trustworthiness and general competence.  The scores for each of these criteria are then used by a panel of judges to select a winner in each category. The title of Best Private Bank will be awarded to the bank that the readers and judges feel offers its banking customers truly outstanding, tailored banking services.

Greg Horton, managing director of Fairbairn Private Bank, commented: “We are delighted to be one of only four banks to be shortlisted for the Best Private Bank award.  To be recognised for this national award from two such highly-respected journals is particularly encouraging following so soon on the launch of our London office and our recent shortlisting for asset management performance in the Private Asset Managers “PAM” awards earlier this year. We are a highly motivated team with a strong commitment to our clients and this independent acknowledgement from them is a strong endorsement that we are making good progress towards fulfilling our principal aim, which is to serve our clients better than any other financial services organisation.”
