New and improved Visa card
Summer 2007
Autumn 2007 will see the launch of our new look Gold Visa card.
The Fairbairn Private Bank Gold Status Visa card will provide all
the existing services you’ve come to expect from your card plus a
number of new, improved features. To utilise these features you
must complete and return the questionnaire that was recently sent
out to all of our cardholders. If you have not received a copy,
please call us on +44 (0) 1624 645000.
Firstly, a dedicated Visa contact telephone
number will be activated to coincide with the launch of the new
Visa cards: +44 (0) 1624 645111. Available 24 hours a day, seven
days a week, from anywhere in the world, this new international
number will allow you to call us at any time with Visa queries.
For extra peace of mind…
The new card will benefit from the same Chip
and PIN technology as your previous card but is also designed with
enhanced fraud protection to enable quicker detection of any
potentially fraudulent transactions.
Another useful new security feature is the
Verified by Visa service which will be available for extra
protection when shopping online. From early 2008, you will be
offered the opportunity to sign up for this service when you make
your first online purchase from any retail outlet approved by Visa.
Once signed up, you will be asked to enter a security password for
any subsequent online purchases.
A new PIN will be issued for your new card,
but if you wish to change it you can do so at any Visa cash machine
with a PIN management facility.
Improved services…
The new card will allow flexibility on your
card parameters, which means if you are anticipating any large
transactions, you can advise the bank in advance and arrange for a
temporary alteration to the transaction limit on your card.
Supported by the very latest in card
technology, the new card will offer quicker response times and
enable your queries to be answered faster than ever.
Despite all these new features, you will be
delighted to know that if you currently pay an annual card fee it
will not be increasing. Your new Visa card and PIN should be
delivered to you in September and you are advised to activate it as
soon as you receive them and destroy your existing card. Full
instructions for this will be provided with your new card.
