Old Mutual Group Corporate Responsibility
Being a responsible business is integrally linked to the
creation of long-term value for both our shareholders and our other
stakeholders. It means pursuing commercial success in ways that
honour ethical values and respect people, communities and the
natural environment.
We need to understand and manage our direct social and
environmental impacts, from the way we market our products and
treat our employees to the way we interact with local communities
and manage the carbon emissions from running our offices. As an
international financial services company, we also have very
significant indirect impacts - for example, through the way we
invest and manage our investments.
The diagram below summarises our evolved approach to responsible
business and shows the nine material issue areas identified in our
stakeholder research.
For more information on our approach to managing these nine
material issue areas and the ways in which we are actively
addressing them please visit www.oldmutual.com.
